| About MirageMoney2 is the new version of the "bit hit" MirageMoney which you all liked! The game utilizes the accelerometer sensor (motion sensor) on phones by implementing the MIRAGE-X API we developed. The orientation readings from the sensor are used as game input to control flying maneuvers in 3-D worlds. The game is part of a PhD research project in the Department of Communication Systems at Lancaster University in the UK. The purpose of this project is to study people's reaction and affection to the concept of mixed reality in mobile applications where motion from the real world is being augmented, or mixed, onto the 3-D virtual world in a mobile environment. What's New The new version of MirageMoney has lots of new features and fixes based on the feedback and comments we received from all those who tested and played the first version. So we owe you all a BIG thank you for making this new release better (we hope you see it that way too)! Ok, so what is new in this version? Here you are the list: - New skybox look We know that some complained about the music in the background but at the same time many wanted to know the source. Unfortunately, the source could not be identified! We are looking for ways to personalize the game with your favorite music. |

How to Play The aim of the game is collect as much coins as possible from the floating silver and gold coins in the virtual sky to build one's wealth. The player has to maneuver his/her plane in the sky and collide with the coins to collect them by moving the phone up/down and left/right as the images below demonstrate. |

| The more coins are collected the heavier and slower the plane gets, hence the message "Overweight" in the image below. You can collect up to 20 coins before your plane falls down and collapses. To prevent this from happening we have introduced floating banks to the game. They are scattered in the sky so that players can deposit their collected coins in and continue playing smoothly. | ||||

There are two playing modes of MirageMoney: Virtual Mirage and Real Mirage. The experience in the former is fully manipulated in a virtual 3-D environment surrounded by a textured sky-box (see pictures above). The later however augments coins and banks on views from the real world around the player which are captured by the phone camera and fed into the game as background stream, like in the two pictures below. |

Supported Phones The game has been tested on both Nokia N95 and Nokia N95 8GB and proved to work well. It has been reported by testers of the previous version that the game works as well on Nokia N82 and Nokia N93i (we did not test this). So, the supposed full list of supported phone is: Nokian N93i, Nokia N95, Nokia N95 8GB, and Nokia N82 |
