Who Are We?

MirageMoney is one of the projects developed by our research group "Mobile Radicals". The group is a freeform collection of dedicated mobile researchers based principally within the InfoLab21 at Lancaster University. They are experts in the creation of novel mobile entertainment/commerce systems, mobile games research, web 2.0 applications, and the theories associated with applied triviality. This site provides for the wider dissemination of their activities.

Fadi Chehimi is a PhD student at the Department of Communication Systems who enjoys researching new possibilities of integrating the virtual world with the real one through mobile phones and using that mixture for advertising and entertainment applications on phones. He is in love with Location-Based Services and 3-D graphics and thrives always to integrate them both into interesting solutions.

Fadi is also a software engineer at Mobica Ltd, UK, where he works on several mobile platforms mainly Symbian OS.

Paul Coulton has over 10 years' research and development experience in mobile systems and applications. He has published extensively in this area, both in terms of academic publications and books on S60 and Symbian OS programming. The main focus of his current research surrounds innovative m-commerce solutions with a particular emphasis on mobile entertainment, such as games. Many of his research projects encompass novel uses of the latest technologies such as RFID/NFC, cameras, and sensors.

Paul is also a Director of university spin-out company m-ventions ltd which provides a commercial avenue for his expertise and many of the innovative researchers with whom he works.
